We are continuesely working to ensure that the children grow up healthy and enjoy a happy childhood.Even today, almost 5 lakh children in India die before their first birthday. Every 20 seconds, a child under five years of age dies. And most of these deaths occur due to preventable and treatable causes such as diarrhoea, pneumonia and malnutrition. It’s this utterly sad situation which firms our resolve to provide robust health and nutrition benefits to children and save lives. Almost 50% of our work for children is done in the area of Health & Nutrition. In different states of India, we’re passionately working to improve the health and nutrition status of newborns, mothers, and expecting women with special focus on those coming from the most disadvantaged communities.

Paribartan has been working in India for over 8 years, focusing on alleviating poverty and social injustice. We do this through well planned and comprehensive programmes in health, education, livelihoods and disaster preparedness and response. Our overall goal is the empowerment of women and girls from poor and marginalized communities leading to improvement in their lives and livelihoods. Education is the key to empowering women and girls, which helps bring about social equality. Girls’ education programme works on improving lives and providing opportunities for girls and women through increased participation in formal and alternative education systems. The program builds on innovative pilot projects and strategic partnerships developed by PARIBARTAN over the last 8 years. We also help to build self-dependent techniques and leadership skills amongst girls and offer alternative education opportunities for women and girls who have never been enrolled or have dropped out early from school.

PARIBARTAN’s healthcare initiatives aims to increase demand for and improve accessibility, availability and affordability of essential healthcare services. It works to promote newborn care, reduce malnutrition in children, decrease infant and maternal mortality rates, and protect those affected by or susceptible to HIV/AIDS , TB, CANCER , especially women and girls. We work towards identifying the root causes of healthcare challenges, provide innovative solutions, and help implement secure and quality healthcare services in India. PARIBARTAN believes that a healthy mother and a healthy baby is the route to a productive, developed nation. Hence, PARIBARTAN has specially focused upon providing comprehensive solutions to address public health problems.

Education is a gift for life. We help children reach school and stay there. We help children unlock their potential and realize their dreams. We believe that every child is extraordinary and can scale great heights if provided with the right learning opportunities. With regular and generous contributions from our supporters, we are able to march steadily towards achieving these goals.

Emergency response has always been at the heart of Save the Children’s mission. Save the Children is committed to reducing children’s vulnerability to emergencies, ensuring their right to survival and development after an emergency and providing the support they and their families need to quickly recover and re-establish their lives, dignity and livelihoods.

Paribartan recognises that effecting sustained change to gender roles and relations requires addressing the forces that shape individual attitudes and community norms and practices – traditions and cultures, government policies, laws and institutions, civil society organisations, the media and the family – as well as underling economic, political and social pressures.

As the tribal people live in the hilly terrain, during the rainy season the water flows down very fast. In the dry season, the scarcity of water is very acute in most places. Water borne disease like helminthiasis, amoebiasis, giardiasis and diarrhea diseases are rampant in the tribal population . so putting all these issues in the mind we are helping them .
